Why is the Daumendreher Hook Grip Tape the way it is
As an avid CrossFitter, I know firsthand how important good hook grip tape is. After many disappointments in my search for the perfect tape, I decided to develop my own product and offer it in my online shop. Here, I’ll tell you why Daumendreher Hook Grip Tape is exactly the way it is.
The search for the perfect tape
At first, I used to smile at athletes with taped thumbs. I thought: that’s just over the top. But after a short time, I was taught better and learned painfully how important good hook grip tape is. Especially during workouts with barbell exercises like cleans and snatches, or during Oly training. The strain on the thumbs is enormous, and skin tears from the last training session made it even worse.
After many disappointing orders of tapes that were either too stiff, too wide, too expensive, or simply useless, I decided to develop a hook grip tape myself that would meet all my requirements.
Daumendreher Hook Grip Tape: Developed by a CrossFitter for CrossFitters
After an intensive search for a suitable manufacturer and numerous design adjustments, the Daumendreher Hook Grip Tape was born. Here are the reasons why it is the way it is:
Perfect width: At 3.8 cm, the tape is wide enough to offer optimal protection while leaving the fingernail free, which is important for the hook grip.
Robust fabric: The tape is made of 98% cotton, withstands the toughest workouts, and offers maximum flexibility and freedom of movement.
Breathable material: It still feels pleasant and comfortable even after being worn for a long time.
Reliable adhesive: The special adhesive holds rock-solid even with sweaty hands, yet can be removed without leaving any residue.
Fair price: The tape is offered at an unbeatable price.
Fast shipping: Nobody likes waiting a long time for their order. That’s why your order is shipped via priority mail and your package is reliably delivered by Swiss Post.
